£15,000 raised for Guide Dogs Scotland

We’re delighted to let you know that the fundraising effort of our staff, along with the employees from Lothian Buses and East Coast Buses over the last 12 months has raised £15,000 for Guide Dogs Scotland.

This money will allow the charity to train three guide dog puppies for partially sighted people living in Scotland.

The puppies who have all been given bus related names will iniatally live with puppy walkers to familiarise themselves with as many different experiences as possible before joining other puppies at the Guide Dogs Scotland training facility in Forfar.

Anne Rowse, Fundraising Manager from Guide Dogs Scotland commented:

We would like to give huge thanks to the staff for their fantastic support of Guide Dogs Scotland in 2016.

It has been a delight to work with such passionate and dedicated people. The staff have embraced our charity with open arms and worked tirelessly towards naming not just one, but three puppies that will go on to change lives.

At Guide Dogs we work to ensure that people with sight loss are never left out of life, and we rely on donations to do this. We are therefore incredibly grateful for this outstanding fundraising effort.
