This summer, in line with our summer season launch on 8 April, we are relaunching our bus and boat experience as the 3 Bridges Tour.
With the stunning new Queensferry Crossing almost complete and opening for use soon, there is no better time to see the best of Edinburgh, the City's coastline and it's three iconic bridges and the best way to do that is on our 3 Bridges Tour.
The three-hour tour shows you Edinburgh’s West End highlights before taking you to South Queensferry to hop on the Forth Belle boat to sail under the three bridges, with the option of a stop at Inchcolm Island.
Nigel Serafini, Commercial Director of Lothian Buses said:
As the Queensferry Crossing completion nears, the re-brand of our bus and boat experience marks the start of this year’s summer season. The opening of the new bridge has created a great amount of interest in its construction phase and we’re sure that will continue once it opens.
Edinburgh Bus Tours is a huge contributor to the Scotland’s economy and as the second most popular paid-for attraction we were delighted at the recent announcement of a 15% increase in Scottish tourist visits. We look forward to welcoming our customers on board our tours this summer.
Manuela Calchini, Regional Director – Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife, VisitScotland added:
We are excited to hear about the new ‘3 Bridges’ bus and boat tour. Already a well-established five star visitor tour company, Edinburgh Bus Tours new route will offer a fantastic way to experience the Forth’s iconic structures, including a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Forth Bridge and of course, the new Queensferry Crossing.
The opening of the new bridge has generated much interest and it’s brilliant to see the tourism industry tapping into the potential, as a destination, of the whole area around the bridges.
It is also important that tourism in Scotland continues to embrace innovation and new ways of working in order to compete in a busy global market - Edinburgh Bus Tours’ ‘3 bridges’ tour is a great example of this.
The tour can be taken on its own or, if you want to make the most of your visit, a Grand48+ ticket offers you the opportunity to hop on and off all of our four summer tours over two days.
