Scotland’s newest bridge – the Queensferry Crossing will be opened by Her Majesty, The Queen
The crossing will open to traffic on 30 August before closing again on 1 September for 6 days of official opening celebrations.
This exciting addition across the Firth of Forth will make Edinburgh and Fife the world’s first destinations to have three bridges spanning three centuries in one stunning location.
The new bridge will be an engineering first as it is the world’s longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge.
If you’re not involved in the celebrations themselves, why not take a trip on our 3 Bridges Tour and watch from the water on aboard our Forth cruise.
There’s no better way to experience all three bridges than on the Forth itself.
Tours leave Waverley Bridge hourly from 0910 until 1740 and boats tours depart at 1115, 1300, 1500 and 1630 (until 3 September, then the 1630 is dropped on weekdays).
