• Edinburgh Castle is open seven days a week – Edinburgh Bus Tours ticket sellers will book your timed entry when you validate your e-ticket.
• The Palace of Holyroodhouse is closed on the following dates:
  • Thursday 14 May – Monday 18 May 2026 – entry to The King’s Gallery and a Palace Guidebook are offered as an alternative to Royal Edinburgh Ticket customers.
  • Friday 26 June – Friday 3 July 2026 – entry to The King’s Gallery and a Palace Guidebook are offered as an alternative to Royal Edinburgh Ticket customers.
• Palace of Holyroodhouse is CLOSED TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY each week and no alternative is offered (open 7 days 21 May – 7 Sep only). Head in with your Royal Edinburgh Ticket – no pre-booking required.
• Palace of Holyroodhouse is closed Monday 19 January 2026.
• Palace of Holyroodhouse is also closed 25 and 26 December 2026.
• The Royal Yacht Britannia is open 7 days. Head in with your Royal Edinburgh Ticket – no pre-booking required.
