1. General

• When booking via this website, you will be asked to select a Start Date. This is the earliest date from which your ticket can be used and for up to 6 months thereafter.
• You will receive a confirmation email containing your ticket vouchers. Store them on your mobile device (print only if you prefer) as they must be presented to our team and scanned to obtain valid tickets.
• Vouchers can be exchanged with our ticket sellers at Waterloo Place (the main tour departure point) or on board any of our city tour buses.
• Ticket validity (24 or 48 hours) begins when your ticket is first scanned.
• Please take care of the tickets issued to you, as no replacements will be issued for lost tickets.
• Vouchers and the associated tickets are issued subject to our Conditions of Carriage.
• Edinburgh Bus Tours will only use the information you supply to process your purchase and manage your booking with us in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

2. Cancellations and Changes

• Bookings may be cancelled or amended up to 48 hours before the selected Start Date.
• Tickets are non-refundable once the selected Start Date has passed or once the ticket has been used.

If you are unable to travel to Edinburgh due to disruption outside your control (for example, travel or accommodation cancellation), we will:

• Rebook your tickets for any date within 6 months; or
• Provide a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.

To qualify for a rebooking or refund under these circumstances:

• You must contact us in writing to [email protected] at least 48 hours before your selected Start Date; and
• You may be required to provide confirmation of the disruption from your airline, travel or accommodation provider.

3. Individual Product Terms 

• Royal Edinburgh Ticket – tickets are valid for 48 hours from first use. When booked via this website, the Start Date corresponds to the intended first day of use and is required to manage entry to included third-party attractions. Valid on CitySightseeing Edinburgh, Edinburgh Tour and Regal Tour and includes one entrance to each of:
  • Edinburgh Castle (timed entry slot required; our ticket sellers will arrange this when you validate your pre-paid ticket or purchase in person - this cannot be arranged prior to your arrival)
  • The Palace of Holyroodhouse
  • The Royal Yacht Britannia
• City Tour – tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use on ONE of CitySightseeing Edinburgh, Edinburgh Tour or Regal Tour.
• Grand 24 – tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use on ALL of CitySightseeing Edinburgh, Edinburgh Tour and Regal Tour.
• Grand 48 – tickets are valid for 48 hours from first use on ALL of CitySightseeing Edinburgh, Edinburgh Tour and Regal Tour.
