Named after King George IV, it was designed by architect Thomas Hamilton to connect the South Side district of Edinburgh to the Old Town (Royal Mile). Visit the Elephant House café, said to provide inspiration to Harry Potter author J.k. Rowling or explore the National Library of Scotland.
