Tram design launched in partnership with Edinburgh Trams

Edinburgh Bus Tours has unveiled a specially wrapped tram design in partnership with Edinburgh Trams.

The wrap, which was designed in-house, was created in partnership between Edinburgh’s two biggest public transport operators. The newly wrapped vehicle will operate on the tram service between Edinburgh Airport and St Andrew Square.

Featured on the design is information on each of Edinburgh Bus Tours’ five attractions, including the Edinburgh Tour, City Sightseeing, Majestic and Three Bridges open-top tours. The tour operator’s character Cobbles and his new tour which was introduced in April, are also prominent on the trams design.

The design has been unveiled just in time for the return of international tourists to the city this summer and the continuation of more UK-based travellers coming to Edinburgh on ‘staycation.’

Gaynor Marshall, Communications Director, Lothian said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our very own Edinburgh Bus Tours tram and we’re thankful to the team at Edinburgh Trams for helping us to make this happen.

“We’re hopeful that the tram carrying our brand will catch the eye of the returning international tourists to the city. With a tour to suit everyone and kids go free on all of our city centre tours, there will be plenty of family fun this summer.”

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, added: “It’s fantastic to see one of our iconic trams wrapped to promote such an important tourist attraction for the city. Edinburgh Bus Tours is a great visitor experience, and the tram wrap has been launched ahead of what we expect to be a really busy summer.”
